Hurlstone Park Wanderers welcome Dulwich Hill Chiropractic and Therapeutic Centre support for 2018 Season

Hurlstone Park Wanderers are pleased to welcome Dulwich Hill Chiropractic and Therapeutic Centre as supporters of Hurlstone Park Football Club. Established since 2009, the team at Dulwich Hill Chiropractic and Therapeutic Centre are active members of the Inner West community.  Locally raised, they have been treating footballers and supporting local football clubs for the past 8 years.

The registration window for the 2018 Season will be opening shortly and the following information is provided to assist you during this process.

Registrations will open from:

– For all Senior Teams  – from 15 January 2018

– For all Junior Teams (u6-u18s) – from 1 February 2018  [This is due to the NSW Active Kids Program. For further information is available on our website or this link ]

This year all registrations will be processed 100% online using the FFA’s Play Football website. You will need your FFA Number in order to register. For all returning players your FFA number has been emailed to you. Applicants never registered with a club before will need to first create an FFA number / account.

You will find the Registration link below. Before you proceed, you must read this Player Registration document. It details and guides you through our Club’s overall registration process. It includes the fees, important dates and relevant contact details for Age Co-ordinators.

It is advisable that you print the document and work through the checklist items to ensure you complete your registration successfully.

Hurlstone Park Wanderers would like to encourage parents of junior players (U18 and younger) to make use of the NSW Office of Sport “Active Kids” Program that will launch on January 31, 2018. The program provides you with a $100 discount on the costs of for your children participating in sport. You will be eligible for one discount per year per child, so if your child is involved in several sports, you will need to choose which sport to apply the discount to.

As the program does not commence until Jan 31 2018, parents wishing to make use of the discount for your child’s HPW registration will need to register your child with us  ON OR AFTER Feb 1 2018. This is about a fortnight later than we normally open junior registrations and will slightly restrict the time that the club  has for pre-season organisation such as team formation and grading.

For this reason, it would be very useful if you could let your coach or manager know ASAP if you are planning to return to HPW this year so that we can start planning for events such as grading days before registrations come in.

To take advantage of the Active Kids Voucher code with your Hurlstone Park Wanderers Registration:

1. Players first need to apply for the Active Kids Voucher Code via Service NSW. From 31 January 2018, parents/guardians/carers of an eligible child resident in NSW will be able to download vouchers from the online platform or at any Service NSW Centre.
2. Player Registers via MyFootballClub
3. At Invoice Screen, there will be messaging for parent to enter their Active Kids voucher code
4. The system will automatically check the validity of that code and where approved, the invoice will automatically update to be less $100
5. Note: Service NSW will grant the Club the $100 for each eligible code registering with the club.

HPW Committee

Registrations for 2018 will be opened towards the middle of January.

All pre-existing players from 2017 will receive information via the e-mail address that we have on file.

Registration fees will be posted next week after ratification at the next committee meeting.

Registration in 2018 will be On-line.

There will Registration Information days, however players will NOT be able to register on-line at this venue.

The reasons for this are:

• these days are the heaviest in terms on traffic for the FFA system,
• response time is  poor,
• people are much better off, registering at home, during off-peak periods.

Rod and Pat Jenkins

Rod and Pat Jenkins have been awarded Life Membership of Hurlstone Park Wanderers Football Club at the 2017 AGM, for there outstanding years of service to the club. Rod, for many years, has been the at parks before sunrise, and Pat is the life and soul of the canteen operations. We thank them for there never ending efforts, and congratulate them on their appointments.

Jim Athan

Jim Athan has been awarded Life Membership of Hurlstone Park Wanderers Football Club at the 2017 AGM, for years of outstanding service, as club registrar, and committee member. Jim has led the association with the transfer to electronic registration and his appointment as Life Member is both overdue, and recognition of his contribution to the running of Football Club. Congratulations Jim.

Rosalie Viney and Steven Cummings

Rosalie and Steven have been awarded Life Membership of Hurlstone Park Wanderers Football Club at the 2017 AGM, for over 10 plus years of outstanding service to the club. Rosalie has has many roles, from Competition Secretary, Age Coordinator, CDSFA representative. Steven has been our MPIO, Age coordinators for the mini-roos, but more than that they are both at Ewen or Beamen every weekend, helping out operationally and have done so, for many years. We thank them for the contribution to the club and congratulate them on their appointments.

The new committee has been elected at the 2017 AGM.

We welcome new members, and thank retiring members for there assistance.

Special call out to Jim Athan, our retiring Registrar, who has worked miracles for many years, and we are very appreciative of his efforts.
